Insurance Coverage:

Your insurance plan plays a significant role in determining your out-of-pocket costs. It's essential to review your policy to understand coverage for anesthesia services and ensure providers are in-network.

Patient Responsibility:

Your responsibility could include co-pays, co-insurance, and charges not covered by insurance. Always review your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to understand what you owe, and if you notice any discrepancies or errors, please contact our billing department or your insurance company to resolve them.

CRNA and Physician Billing for Medical Direction:

When both a CRNA (Nurse Anesthesiologist) and an anesthesiologist are involved in your care, their roles and billing may appear to be duplicated but are not. Here’s how it works:

CRNA Services: CRNAs might either work independently or under the supervision of an anesthesiologist.
Anesthesiologist Services: Anesthesiologists may supervise CRNAs and provide medical direction.

Though both providers may submit charges, reflecting their distinct roles ensures patient safety and coordinated care. This process ensures each provider is recognized for their contribution.
